Funding pathways
Referral types accepted
-
Medicare (Better Access)
Mental Health Treatment Plan referrals are accepted for clients eligible for bulk-billing. Under the Better Access changes from 1 November 2025, the plan and referral need to come from the client’s usual GP, or a GP at their MyMedicare-registered practice. Direct referrals from psychiatrists and paediatricians are also accepted.
-
NDIS
Referrals for self-managed and plan-managed participants are welcome from support coordinators, plan managers and others, with the participant’s consent. JD Therapy is not a registered NDIS provider, so NDIA-managed plans aren’t currently accepted. About NDIS psychology.
-
Private
No referral is needed for private appointments ($225 per session) or for privately funded assessments. Assessment fees are quoted on enquiry. Fees and FAQs.
